ROB RUN heists: plan the job and the way out

Plan ROB RUN heists, understand masks and Criminal status, and learn how Notoriety changes a run. Follow the loot-to-sale loop and prepare your escape route.

Start a ROB RUN robbery by putting on a mask in Looty Bay. That enables Criminal actions and exposes you to Police and rival Criminals. Scout the target and an exit first: the documented way to clear Criminal status is to leave the city, not simply remove the mask.

A useful job has a complete route: entry, control of the target, carrying the valuables, escape and sale. The steps below organize official mechanics into a planning checklist. They are not a claim that one particular building is the fastest money farm.

Scout before masking

The city contains different kinds of targets, including stores, jewelry shops, bank vaults and Police armories. Equipment, keys and preparation affect what you can get from a location. A building’s name alone therefore does not tell you whether your current kit can handle it.

Before starting, identify the entrance you can use, the direction you will leave and how you will transport what you take. Our recommendation is to test the travel route before risking your equipment. If you are still looking for an initial weapon or transport, use the weapon guide and vehicle guide first.

Divide the job into clear tasks

The developer recommends keeping staff under control during a robbery so they do not trigger an alarm. With a crew, separate entry, carrying and cover rather than having everybody do the same task. Even a quiet approach does not prevent a rival crew or passing patrol from appearing.

Before committingQuestion to answer
EntryDo we have the equipment or access this target needs?
ControlWho watches staff and the approach?
HaulingWho takes the goods, and where are they going?
ExitWhich route will we use if the job is interrupted?

This is a coordination aid, not an additional in-game objective list. For a solo run, those jobs still exist; you simply have to account for them without assigning them to teammates.

Understand Notoriety before chaining jobs

Consecutive heists during a single city visit raise Notoriety. The official help describes improved fence deals and additional perks at higher levels. Solo players and duos begin with a higher level to help them compete with larger groups.

That does not mean every extra robbery is automatically worth attempting. The gameplay overview also connects longer crime sprees with increasing risk. Our suggestion is to decide in advance what would make you leave: exposed valuables, equipment you cannot replace, or an escape route you can no longer use. No exact Notoriety multiplier or optimal exit level is established by the cited documentation.

Finish the job by selling and collecting

Find the dollar-sign van in Looty Bay or the Sales Center when available, sell to the fence, and collect the cash from the counter. A sale is not complete protection: cash left behind can be stolen or confiscated, and carried money still needs a protection plan.

Lenny stores cash rather than your physical stolen goods. Goods can be stored at a base, which introduces raid exposure. The money guide explains the next step from sale proceeds to laundering and banked funds.

Have an interrupted-run plan

Leaving Looty Bay clears Criminal status for the next entry. If Police corner you before then, surrender and death have different equipment outcomes; review the Police and survival comparison before assuming a fight is your only option.

For jobs built around large containers or vehicle transport, read the cargo guide as well. A robbery route that works for valuables in a bag may not work for a shipment, and the launch update changed at least one vehicle’s cargo eligibility.
