ROB RUN authentication errors have different starting checks. E-0401 concerns Steam account authentication; E-0403 / E-0404 concern Epic Online Services authorization; E-0405 concerns Steam not responding or a blocked game library. Match the displayed code before following a branch below.
The error-code hub remains the quick lookup for all code families. This page expands the account-and-authorization branch into a practical sequence rather than treating every failed login as a password problem.
E-0401: check Steam online mode and account
Kefir instructs players to confirm that Steam is online and signed into the intended account, then restart Steam and ROB RUN. Start there rather than switching accounts at random. A working web browser does not itself confirm which Steam account the game is using.
Our suggested check is to note the account currently shown in Steam before restarting. Relaunch the game from that account and record whether the exact code changes. If a different message appears, troubleshoot the new message instead of repeating the same login check indefinitely.
E-0403 and E-0404: check the game installation
For these Epic Online Services authorization codes, the developer specifies Steam file verification, an antivirus exception for the game, and a PC restart. Verification is available under Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files in Steam.
Check your security software’s report before making an exception, and restrict any exception to the trusted Steam installation concerned. This page does not prescribe a separate Epic account, an Epic launcher reinstall or deletion of authorization files: the ROB RUN source does not establish those as required steps.
E-0405: inspect Steam and quarantine
For E-0405, Kefir directs players to check antivirus quarantine, launch Steam, verify game files, and start ROB RUN from the Steam library. This branch matters because Steam availability or a blocked system library can be involved even when the visible problem looks like a generic login failure.
If a security alert names a file, retain the alert text and its path for support. Do not download replacement DLLs from an unofficial fix site. The goal is to diagnose the trusted installation using the developer’s route, not to replace unknown components until the warning disappears.

Retest one branch at a time
Close the game before running the relevant steps, then note the result of the next launch. Our recommended log contains the original code, account/online-mode check, verification result and any quarantine finding. That gives you a useful comparison without assuming a fixed repair time.
An E-0501 or E-0502 message belongs to the Easy Anti-Cheat workflow. E-0101 or E-0102 instead belongs to the connection and download workflow. Similar timing at startup does not make those failures the same authorization issue.
Escalate a persistent authorization failure
Send official support the exact code, screenshot, steps already tried and the time of the failed launch. If you can access the game menu, press Esc and copy the UID shown underneath your character name. If you cannot get that far, explain that limitation.
These are documented troubleshooting routes, not confirmed diagnoses of your PC. No account recovery, ban reversal or successful authorization is promised by this fan guide.
